Romanian carrier DAN AIR launches flights between Bucharest and Yerevan
Romanian carrier DAN AIR will launch direct flights between Bucharest and Yerevan starting July 1, 2026, as part of the airline’s broader expansion into the Caucasus and Middle East markets. The new Yerevan route is included in DAN AIR’s updated summer schedule alongside new services to Amman and Tbilisi, while Aleppo will become a permanent destination in the airline’s network. Flights to Armenia will be operated every Tuesday and Saturday.
According to the airline, the expansion reflects growing demand for direct connectivity between the European Union and destinations in the region. DAN AIR said it carried more than 272,000 passengers in 2025, marking an increase of over 30 percent compared to the previous year, while maintaining a 98 percent on-time performance rate.
DAN AIR CEO Matt Ian David said the carrier continues to focus on underserved markets with strong demand, including Armenia.
“We are expanding further by adding Aleppo, Amman, Yerevan, and Tbilisi, markets that remain underserved, yet show strong and growing demand,” he said.
The airline also announced plans to further expand its Middle East network and has applied for authorization to operate scheduled flights to Baghdad, Baku, Beirut, and Cairo under bilateral agreements.
DAN AIR entered the scheduled flights market in 2023 and has since expanded its regional operations, including becoming the first European Union airline to resume direct commercial flights to Syria in 2025.
