Exports of fresh Armenian fruit and vegetables to UAE begin at up to 40 tonnes per week

According to the Armenian Ministry of Economy, the exports are being carried out under a memorandum of understanding signed with Watermelon Ecosystem in Dubai on August 27.

Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan visited the company during his trip to Dubai. Accompanied by the company’s founders, the minister toured the premises and familiarised himself with its operations, infrastructure and production capabilities.

Watermelon Ecosystem is a technology platform operating in the food and beverage sector that brings together restaurants, hotels, food suppliers, producers and farmers. It offers digital procurement, supply chain management and financing solutions.

The company also actively cooperates with local producers and suppliers, helping to expand access to their products in the food service sector.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for investment in Armenia. They agreed to cooperate more closely on both the implementation of investment projects and increasing the volume of exports of Armenian products.
