"This memorandum is a document confirming the defeat of the US. The people will see and make their verdict," Ghalibaf said.
"Some points of the memorandum were discussed for hours due to their legal nuances," the Iranian parliament speaker said.
As Fars reported, Ghalibaf drew attention also to the provisions of the agreement related to the Iran's economic recovery. He added that the sixth point of the memorandum envisages a program for the rehabilitation and economic development of Iran, to which it is planned to direct investments of $300 billion.
“This point defines an amount of $300 billion for investments in Iran, part of which will be directed to reconstruction,” he noted.
The head of Iranian parliament touched also upon the restrictive measures against Iran and stated that concerns about the prolonged maintenance of the naval blockade were not justified.
“Some were worried whether the blockade would be lifted only after 30 days. But, thank God, it was lifted in just three days,” Ghalibaf said.
In addition, he criticized the reaction of international organizations to the recent conflict, noting that the United Nations did not issue a single statement in which the US would be qualified as an aggressor.
“The UN has not issued even a single statement in which the US would be recognized as an aggressor. In a world where the law of force prevails, we [i.e. Iran] must protect our interests with our own strength," the Iranian parliament speaker stated.
