Armenia, Georgia stress importance of lasting regional peace
On April 23, Armenia’s Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan, held a meeting in Tbilisi with the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. During the meeting, Minister Papikyan conveyed the warm greetings of Armenia’s Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, to his Georgian counterpart.
Papikyan outlined the key priorities and prospects for bilateral cooperation, highlighting the positive trajectory of defense collaboration between Armenia and Georgia. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening ties in the defense sector as part of broader efforts to enhance mutual trust and stability.
The discussions also addressed issues related to regional security. In this context, both sides underscored that the establishment of lasting peace in the region would contribute significantly to the development and prosperity of all countries in the South Caucasus.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of Armenia and Georgia to continued dialogue and cooperation on matters of shared strategic importance.
