Armenia, Greece, Cyprus hold defense consultations, sign cooperation plan
On April 22, bilateral defense consultations between Armenia and Cyprus, as well as trilateral consultations involving Armenia, Greece, and Cyprus, were held in Cyprus. The Armenian delegation was led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department at Armenia’s Ministry of Defense.
During the consultations, participants reviewed the current state of cooperation in both bilateral and trilateral formats and discussed upcoming initiatives. The sides also exchanged views on a range of issues related to regional and international security, defense reforms, and other areas of mutual interest.
The parties positively assessed the progress achieved in recent years in strengthening cooperation.
As a result of the consultations, the heads of the units responsible for international military cooperation of the three countries signed annual cooperation programs. These include both the Armenia–Cyprus bilateral program and the Armenia–Greece–Cyprus trilateral cooperation plan in the field of defense.
