The Prosecutor’s Office Seeks Confiscation of 12 Immovable and Movable Properties from Former MP Vahe Hakobyan
The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for proceedings another statement of claim filed
by the Prosecutor General’s Office concerning the confiscation of property of illegal origin.
The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor
General’s Office has submitted a request to the court to confiscate, in favor of the Republic
of Armenia, from former Governor of Syunik Province and former Member of the National
Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Albert Hakobyan, as well as from his related
persons: his wife Elizabeth Petrosyan, his brother Karen Hakobyan, Karen Hakobyan’s
wife and daughters and Vahe Hakobyan’s parents the following:
9 immovable properties
3 vehicles
1 Participation in legal entity
4 loan claim rights totaling AMD 122,614,000
2 bonds with a total value of USD 741,000
2 bank deposits totaling USD 240,000
AMD 4,524,816,000 as the remaining balance of illegal funds
AMD 2,814,926,000 which is not substantiated by the individual’s lawful income, is of
illegal origin, has been transferred to a bona fide acquirer or cannot be identified and
confiscated.
