The EU mission team will be in Armenia next year; the Armenia-EU visa liberalization process continues
The first EU assessment mission has been evaluating, since early December, the legislation and strategy related to visa liberalization in Armenia.
In an interview with “Radiolur,” Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan emphasized that a second assessment team will arrive in Armenia next year. Ghazaryan expressed hope that the first progress report could be available by the middle of next year. The European Union assesses progress of countries specifically through such reports. Following these reports, it will be possible to apply to the European Commission and propose the liberalization of the visa regime for Armenia.
