Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan stated: “We attach great importance to the launch of direct Yerevan-London flights. This is an important step toward expanding communications between Armenia and the United Kingdom. Today’s event is the result of the Armenian Government’s policy aimed at developing the aviation sector. I am confident that this new route will open up new opportunities for citizens and will also develop tourism. We will continue to support initiatives that contribute to expanding transport accessibility and international cooperation.”
“We are very pleased to add the London destination from Armenia to our route network. This is already the ninth new route, and overall we will operate 18 routes to 10 countries. With each new expansion of our operations, we reaffirm our commitment to offering passengers a wider choice of destinations and maximum travel convenience, while maintaining affordable fares and high flight reliability,” said Anastasia Novak, Head of Corporate and Sustainability Communications at Wizz Air.
“Direct air connectivity between Yerevan and London is a powerful impetus for deepening relations between Armenia and the United Kingdom. These flights will facilitate communication between our citizens by strengthening people-to-people contacts and promoting cooperation in tourism, education, culture and business. This new route reflects the trend of deepening Armenia-Great Britain relations and creates new opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries,” said Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
