Pashinyan had said that during his meetings in Berlin, the German ambassador to Armenia had announced that starting next year, there will no longer be queues in Armenia for submitting German visa applications.
In response to Armenpress’ question about what new developments are expected in the German visa issuance process for Armenian citizens, the German embassy in Armenia replied as follows, in particular:
“In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Schengen visa, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Armenia has continuously worked in recent months with a comprehensive approach to improve service to Armenians applying for visas. This work included the decision that starting from July 2025, visa applications must be submitted through the external service provider TLS Contact, while the decision on visa issuance is made by the embassy.
In parallel, the embassy has updated its information system to provide potential applicants with information about visa requirements in a more convenient way.
These measures have led to the fact that the waiting time for submitting an application has been significantly reduced.”
