Can a national benefactor really be like this?
It is hard to believe, but according to the published materials it becomes clear that
- The former heads of ENA took out loans in order to pay ENA’s tax obligations and salaries.
- ENA’s financial resources were provided free of charge to individuals and legal persons connected with the Company’s former heads.
- All information on the actual electricity consumption of the public and legal entities for the years 2018–2024 was deleted from ENA’s database.
- A number of individuals and companies received loans amounting to several hundred million drams, for which ENA became the guarantor.
- Purchases at ENA were made at 1.5-2 times higher than their actual cost.
- Over the past two years, the tariffs for new connections have been inflated 10 times.
Is this what a national benefactor is supposed to be like? These are very serious accusations which not only must be addressed in court, but which also require a very clear and very swift response from the “Mer Dzevov” (“In Our Way”) movement that has made a political bid.
Our country has not so demoralised that a political force can continue its carefree activity while facing such accusations.
