According to them, Israel still does not know all the details of the agreement to be signed in Switzerland on Friday, including the points related to Iran's nuclear program and the resolution of the issue of eliminating its highly enriched uranium stocks.
In addition, Israel is against the withdrawal of its troops from Lebanon, as implied by the memorandum, Channel 12’s interlocutors said.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Sunday that Israeli troops will remain in the security zone in Lebanon. Katz added that if Iran attacks Israel because of the events in Lebanon, Israel will attack it with all its might.
Channel 12 recalls that the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran is intended to become the basis for negotiations on a broader and more comprehensive agreement, which will include Iran's nuclear program. After the memorandum is signed this Friday, the parties must reach a final version of the peace agreement within 60 days.
US President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that Iran, under the agreement, will never get nuclear weapons. "They’re not going to acquire a nuclear weapon. If they do, all hell will rain down on them," Trump said.
