Armenian PM, Turkish President discuss bilateral agenda, regional connectivity
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which the two leaders exchanged congratulations and discussed issues on the bilateral agenda.
Prime Minister Pashinyan congratulated President Erdoğan on the occasion of Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha), while the Turkish leader extended birthday wishes to the Armenian prime minister on his 51st birthday.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on matters related to Armenia-Türkiye relations and commended the growing intensity of contacts between the two countries.
In particular, they highlighted the recent visit of Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to Armenia to participate in the European Political Community Summit, the decision to establish procedures for direct trade between Türkiye and Armenia, and the opening of the Akhalkalaki-Kars railway for exports from Armenia and imports into the country.
The two leaders reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and practical steps aimed at advancing bilateral cooperation.
