"Our meeting at the White House was a step forward, and we have achieved lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan," the Azerbaijani APA news agency reported, citing a letter from US President Donald Trump to Baku Energy Week.

"As you know, regional energy integration was a key element of the historic peace summit held on August 8. My administration looks forward to productive discussions on this topic in June.

Together, we will promote peace, strengthen prosperity, and build a more secure future in your region and around the world," Trump's letter said.
