Medical examination is mandatory for US immigrant visa applicants
U.S. immigration law mandates medical examinations for all immigrant visa applicants to protect public health and ensure compliance with the Immigration and Nationality Act, US Embassy to Armenia reports.
The examination identifies communicable conditions of public health significance, helping prevent their spread into the United States. It confirms that applicants have received required vaccinations, protecting both the applicant and the broader U.S. population.
