CIS to deploy 120 observers for Armenia’s parliamentary elections
A delegation led by Head of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Observer Mission and Deputy Secretary General of the CIS, Nurlan Musatayevich Seitimov, visited Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on May 18.
During the meeting, it was announced that the CIS will deploy a total of 120 observers to Armenia to monitor the upcoming regular parliamentary elections.
CEC Chairman Vahagn Hovakimyan welcomed representatives of the observer mission and presented the commission’s preparatory work ahead of the elections. He outlined measures being undertaken to ensure the organization and conduct of the electoral process.
