Latvian President pays tribute to the memory of Armenian Genocide victims
Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs, who has arrived in Armenia on an official visit, paid tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
The Latvian president was accompanied by Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan.
President Rinkēvičs laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and placed flowers near the eternal flame in honor of the victims.
On May 6, 2021, the Latvian parliament officially recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide through a special declaration.
