Opening ceremony of new building of Armenian Embassy took place in Paris with participation of Mirzoyan and Barrot
The solemn ceremony of the opening of the new Armenian embassy in France took place Tuesday in Paris, with the participation of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot, Armenia's Foreign Ministry reports.
Mirzoyan raised the national flag of Armenia in front of the embassy, the national anthems of the two countries were played, and after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the opening of the embassy was officially announced.
The event brought together the chairs of the standing committees of the French Senate and the National Assembly, lawmakers, mayors, members of the Paris city council of the regional department, representatives of the French presidential office, the foreign ministry, some other departments, as well as heads of several diplomatic missions accredited in France.
The ambassador of Armenia to France, Arman Khachatryan, delivered welcoming remarks at the event; the Armenian and French foreign ministers also delivered remarks.
In addition, a meeting was held between the two ministers.
