Message by RA NA President Alen Simonyan on 111th Anniversary of Armenian Genocide
Dear compatriots,
Today we pay tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide, who were subjected to massacres and forced deportations in 1915.
The memory of the Genocide is not only a pain for us, but also a responsibility to prevent the repetition of the tragedies of the past. It obliges us to be united, strong and far-sighted, building a safe and stable state, where human life and peace are paramount values.
Along with mourning, we must realize that this day is also about drawing conclusions from the past, getting stronger, moving forward and living. Our future must be shaped by the perception that historical wounds can become the basis for consolidation and development.
I bow to the memory of all our martyrs and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring a peaceful and dignified life for future generations.
Eternal memory to the innocent victims.
