Official ceremony in France dedicated to 111th anniversary of Armenian Genocide
On April 18, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to France, Arman Khachatryan, participated in an official ceremony in the city of Antony dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The event took place in front of the 'Eagle of Armenia' memorial, which commemorates the victims of the Genocide and symbolizes the rebirth of the Armenian people. The Embassy of Armenia to France issued a statement on this.
Speeches at the ceremony were delivered by Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to France Arman Khachatryan, Spokesperson of the Government of France and Minister Delegate for Energy Maud Bregeon, President of the Hauts-de-Seine Department Georges Siffredi, Mayor of Antony Aude Nodé-Langlois, and Deputy Mayor Wissam Nehme.
The ceremony was also attended by other mayors, senators, deputies, representatives of French-Armenian community organizations, as well as numerous French-Armenians and French citizens.
Subsequently, participants of the ceremony and attendees laid wreaths and flowers in front of the 'Eagle of Armenia' memorial.
