Businessmen from Spain hosted in Parliament
On April 17, the Head of the NA Armenia-Spain Friendship Group Tatevik Gasparyan, the group member Meri Galstyan, and the Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Babken Tunyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to the Republic of Armenia Ricardo Martínez Vázquez , Chargé d'Affaires Fernando Girón Pascual , and businessmen from Spain.
Welcoming the guests to the Parliament, Tatevik Gasparyan noted that Spain is an important partner for Armenia. Speaking about our country's aspirations to join the European family, the MP attached importance to the deepening of relations with the EU member states.
Babken Tunyan and Meri Galstyan, evaluating the businessmen's visit to Armenia, noted that there is great potential for cooperation in a number of areas, including economic.
The Ambassador of Spain to the Republic of Armenia emphasized the deepening of bilateral cooperation at both the executive and legislative levels. According to Ricardo Martínez Vázquez , despite the geographical distance between the two countries, Armenians and the Spanish people have many things in common: cultural, civilizational, etc. The diplomat mentioned that Spain supports Armenia's ongoing processes towards integration into the EU.
The opportunities of cooperation were discussed with the Spanish businessmen. The NA deputies expressed their willingness to support the implementation of joint projects.
