Armenian Ambassador briefs UK Shadow Minister on regional developments
On April 14, H.E. Varuzhan Nersesyan met with Shadow Minister for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs the Rt. Hon Wendy Morton MP.
Ambassador Nersesyan presented regional developments in the South Caucasus and emphasised that, in the spirit of the August 8 Washington Declaration, Armenia is moving forward with efforts to consolidate peace, including through the advancement of regional connectivity. He stressed the potential of theTRIPP initiative to unlock regional connectivity and harness the broader economic and transit potential of the South Caucasus.
The interlocutors also discussed the positive momentum in Armenia–United Kingdom relations, with Ambassador Nersesyan reaffirming Armenia’s interest in further deepening bilateral ties and building on the agreement to elevate relations to a Strategic Partnership, which was announced last year.
