Education Minister reviews construction of Juventus Football Academy in Armenia
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan and President of the Football Federation of Armenia Armen Melikbekyan visited the construction site of the Juventus football academy near Hrazdan Stadium to review the progress of the works.
The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Minister Hasmik Avagyan. At the construction site, the academy’s design, ongoing construction process, and details of the works carried out were presented to the officials.
Andreasyan highlighted the importance of establishing the academy for the development of football in Armenia, the athletic education of young players, and the strengthening of international cooperation. According to the Minister, a major hub of modern sports infrastructure is being formed in the area adjacent to Tsitsernakaberd Highway, where the Albert Azaryan Olympic Reserve Youth Gymnastics School is also under construction.
The Juventus academy in Armenia will consist of three training bases designed for 2,000 students. Two of them will be located in Yerevan – in the Avan administrative district and near Hrazdan Stadium – while the third will be built in the town of Nor Hachn in Kotayk Province. The facility will also include a hotel for European coaches and residential students.
Each year, the best students of the academy will travel to Turin to the main academy of Juventus FC, where they will participate in training sessions and friendly matches.
