We are ready to contribute to the dialogue and the peace process. Kobakhidze
During today's meeting, we discussed in detail issues related to both bilateral relations and the future of the South Caucasus region. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated these points during a briefing with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
According to Kobakhidze, the strategic partnership and relations between the two countries are developing dynamically. He thanked the Azerbaijani side for its unwavering support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Ilham Aliyev for his visit to Georgia. He is a dear friend of Georgia, and his visit there is a special honor for each of us. I am glad to host you in Georgia and discuss both bilateral cooperation and developments in the region," he said.
He also reported that they discussed issues related to the South Caucasus.
"In this context, we welcome the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. "Georgia strongly supports peaceful coexistence, constructive cooperation, and new initiatives in the region. We are always ready to make a positive contribution to the development of these relations, if necessary. We are ready to contribute to dialogue and the peace process," Irakli Kobakhidze noted.
