Situation related to TRIPP has currently given us an advantage: Andranik Kocharyan on situation in Iran
The situation related to TRIPP has also given us an advantage at this moment: there is no gunfire along our border. Missiles are flying everywhere, while this side of our border remains calm, although the situation may change. This was stated during a parliamentary briefing by Andranik Kocharyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly, referring to the situation in Iran and its impact on the implementation of TRIPP.
“We must do everything every day to ensure that the objectives set before our Armed Forces have solutions. And those solutions are provided by the Armenian people, who supply the army with soldiers and give the country the opportunity to address the task of supporting those soldiers,” he said.
According to Andranik Kocharyan, any signed document can be violated, therefore it is necessary to create a security environment that would be difficult to breach, and one must also serve as a guarantor of one’s own country’s security.
