A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the incident that occurred at Saint Anna Church; three individuals have been detained, the Investigative Committee reports.
On March 29, a criminal proceeding was launched regarding the incident at Saint Anna
Church in Yerevan under Article 297, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) and Article
452, Part 3 (interference with the lawful official or political activities of an official).
This was reported by the Investigative Committee, which noted that three individuals have been
detained so far.
It should be recalled that earlier today, March 29, during an intra-party campaign, Prime
Minister Nikol Pashinyan toured the Kentron administrative district with party members and
then attended a church service at Saint Anna Church. As the Prime Minister was leaving
the church, an incident involving several citizens occurred, during which one individual
attempted to strike Nikol Pashinyan from behind.
The Prime Minister calmed those present and urged everyone to remain in place.
