Meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia with State Secretary of Germany
On March 26, on the sidelines of the 7th Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership held in Andorra, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Bernhard Kotsch, the State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
The interlocutors discussed issues on the Armenia-Germany bilateral agenda, commending current positive dynamics. In this vein, the importance of fostering cooperation within the economic and green energy sectors and implementing joint initiatives was stressed.
During the meeting issues of regional security were touched upon. Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan briefed his counterpart on the steps aimed at further institutionalization of the established peace. Views were exchanged on the unfolding situation in the Middle East.
The interlocutors commended the cooperation established between Armenia and Germany within multilateral frameworks and international organizations, emphasizing the importance of further enhancing it.
Discussions also touched upon the preparations and potential avenues for collaboration ahead of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be hosted by Armenia later this year. Deputy Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan outlined the vision of Armenia for convening the Conference, aimed at ensuring the comprehensive and substantive participation of all stakeholders in dialogues pertaining to global biodiversity.
