Armenia to help lead UN talks on Global Pandemic Preparedness
H.E. Mr. Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the United Nations, has been appointed by the President of the United Nations General Assembly as Co-Facilitator of the intergovernmental negotiations on the Political Declaration on Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response (PPPR).
Armenia has consistently supported international efforts aimed at raising awareness and strengthening resilience through enhanced global cooperation to advance public health goals.
Emphasizing that pandemics require timely and sustained leadership, global solidarity, and multilateral commitment, Armenia stands ready to continue contributing to this important process. The country will work closely with all relevant partners to help ensure a meaningful and action-oriented outcome that strengthens global commitment and supports the development of a world better prepared to prevent and respond to future pandemics.
