ADB representatives explore cooperation opportunities on Armenia’s Academic City project
Representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have met with officials from Armenia’s “Academic City” foundation to discuss the project’s vision, strategic priorities, and potential areas of cooperation. Jinming Huang, Director of the East, Central and West Asia Team of ADB’s Water and Urban Development Sector Office, and ADB Program Officer Gohar Musayelyan held talks with Armen Simonyan, Director of the Academic City Foundation, along with members of the project team.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the long-term vision of the Academic City initiative, as well as its key development directions and implementation strategies.
ADB representatives also visited the site designated for the project, where they were briefed on the current condition of the area and ongoing preparatory work, including site clearance and early-stage development activities.
The discussions also covered potential avenues for future collaboration, with particular emphasis on the importance of international partnerships in successfully developing large-scale educational and research infrastructure.
Both sides underscored the importance of maintaining continued cooperation going forward.
