Meeting Between the Armenian Minister of Defense and the President of Iran
The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, met with the
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.
Minister Papikyan conveyed to President Pezeshkian the warm greetings of the Prime
Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
During the meeting, the parties underscored the importance and necessity of the
continued development of high-level relations between Armenia and Iran, as well as the
strengthening of peace and stability in the region.
Issues related to Armenia-Iran cooperation were discussed, including collaboration in the
field of defense. Minister Papikyan emphasized the need to resolve the situation
surrounding Iran through diplomatic means.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on matters related to international and regional
security.
