Armenian Deputy FM, IOM regional director discuss support for NK refugees
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan met with Arthur Erken, International Organization for Migration (IOM) Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia.
The Foreign Ministry said in a readout that Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan praised the cooperation with the IOM since the establishment of its office in Yerevan, particularly highlighting the organization’s role in addressing the issues faced by persons displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Ministry reported that Kostanyan presented the steps being taken toward refugee integration, including reference to the document titled “Inclusive National Framework for Supporting Refugees and Host Communities,” which outlines the Armenian government’s strategy in this area for the next three years.
During the meeting, housing provision and employment programs were also discussed.
