Armenia, NVIDIA discuss progress of AI data center construction
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has received Vice President of NVIDIA Rev Lebaredian to discuss ongoing technology initiatives in Armenia. During the meeting, the parties reviewed progress on a project by Firebird to build an artificial intelligence factory and data center in Armenia. Lebaredian noted that construction of the center is already underway.
In this context, both sides stressed the importance of securing export permits for additional batches of NVIDIA’s high-performance chips, which are critical for the facility’s operations.
The Prime Minister and Lebaredian also discussed prospects for the further development of Armenia’s technology sector, including the introduction of artificial intelligence solutions aimed at improving efficiency in public administration. Pashinyan highlighted the importance of private-sector support in advancing these efforts.
Lebaredian additionally presented a proposal to implement an educational program in the field of technology in Armenia. Prime Minister Pashinyan welcomed the initiative and expressed the government’s readiness to support its implementation.
