In an interview with "Politico" newspaper, US President Donald Trump said that he is confident that he will easily solve the problem of unpaid membership fees to the United Nations by US member states.
"If they asked me, I would make everyone pay, like I made NATO. It was only necessary to call the leaders of those countries, they would have sent the bank checks within a few minutes," said Trump.
At the same time, as the newspaper noted, Trump did not elaborate on whether the United States intends to pay the United Nations "the billions of dollars it owes".
