"I am proud to be able to share this moment. The ship Chrysopigi Lady set sail from Venezuela with the first cargo of liquefied petroleum gas. Together with the working class, we celebrate this historic border by exporting the country's first gas molecule. This is an achievement for the well-being of the Venezuelan people," Rodriguez wrote on his Telegram channel.
Historically, Venezuela has directed all of its liquefied natural gas to the domestic market, fully meeting domestic demand and having no surplus for foreign supplies.
Now, in January of this year, the government of the Republic announced the signing of a gas export contract without clearly specifying the buyer.
