I Congratulate Our Neighbors Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev on Achieving Historic Peace: Giorgi Gakharia
“I congratulate our neighbors Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of
Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on this significant achievement, which became possible thanks to
President Trump’s leadership and engagement.
The presence of the United States in the
South Caucasus plays an important role in regional peace, security and prosperity,” wrote
Georgia’s former Prime Minister and leader of the opposition party “For Georgia,” Giorgi
Gakharia.
According to him, while countries advance their national interests within a new world order,
Georgia is losing its strategic significance and becoming increasingly isolated due to the
deliberate actions and ineffectiveness of the “Georgian Dream” government.
Instead of restoring relations with the United States and making Georgia a central element of the
American agenda in the South Caucasus, the current regime continues to attack and
spread misinformation about the United States and aligns itself with hostile forces,
threatening not only Georgia’s security interests, but also sustainable long-term peace in
the region and the national security interests of the United States.
“We must work closely with our neighbors and strategic partners to bring Georgia back
onto the agenda,” Gakharia emphasized.
