“Historical significance for the entire region.” Tokayev on the Washington agreements
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has stated that the Washington agreements between Azerbaijan and Armenia open new, broad opportunities for developing cooperation in the South Caucasus and beyond. He made this statement at the International Forum on Peace and Trust held in Ashgabat, the Khronika Kavkaza Telegram channel reports.
Tokayev emphasized that the signing of a joint declaration between Baku and Yerevan is of historic significance and creates prospects for long-term stability. He also expressed hope that a comprehensive peace treaty will be signed soon.
