The EU will continue to pressure Russia despite US efforts

 

The European Union will continue to pressure Russia and support Ukraine, despite the intensification of US peace efforts in recent days. Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker announced this.

"I welcome all initiatives that bring us closer to a ceasefire and long-term peace in Ukraine. In the last few days, a new diplomatic momentum has emerged to solve the crisis on the part of the US," he wrote in X. However, according to Stocker, the EU will continue to support Ukraine and put pressure on Russia "at all levels".
 
The chancellor added that "there is no doubt that the presence and active participation of Ukraine and the European Union at the negotiating table is necessary when it comes to the security of the European continent."
