More than eight clergymen from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Diocese of Aragatsotn have been summoned by the Investigative Committee
More than 8 clergymen from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Aragatsotn Diocese have been summoned to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The information was confirmed by Father Yesayi Artenyan, Director of the Information System of the Mother See, in an interview with Euromedia24.
According to attorney Ara Zohrabyan, the clergymen have been called in for questioning as witnesses within a criminal proceeding related to an audio recording involving Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan and the defrocked monk-priest Aghan Yerjnkyan.
They are to appear before the Investigative Committee today and tomorrow.
