Azerbaijan Is Setting a Precondition That Is Unacceptable for Armenia: Khandanyan
“The text of the peace treaty is ready. There will be no further negotiations on the text. Our expectation is to sign it as soon as possible,” said Sargis Khandanyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly and a Civil Contract MP, during a briefing, noting that Azerbaijan is setting a precondition that is unacceptable for Armenia.
In response to a clarifying question as to whether he meant the Constitution, Khandanyan gave an affirmative answer.
“As for the issue of enclaves, it is entirely a matter of delimitation; and regarding the peace treaty, I would not say the situation is at an deadlock, because a year ago even agreeing on the text itself was considered an deadlock,” he noted.
